​The Challenge

Di Jones Real Estate is a leader in Sydney’s field of prestige and lifestyle properties. Having invested more than 20 years developing its brand, the business needed to revamp its outdated web presence and move closer in line with its commitment to innovation, excellence and superior service – the traits which attract discerning local, international, and celebrity clients to Di Jones.

Real estate is a valuable and often expensive purchase. Copious research is conducted before acquiring or selling property, so an effective and captivating website design can make or break a sale.

Bang was engaged to project manage, design and build a new responsive web site – a mobile ready Di Jones portal to act as a 24-hour sales agent and online location for prospects looking to find important information about local suburbs and admire beautiful property listings.

The Solution

Once the site map and content paths were agreed, Bang presented several design concepts, and made key recommendations around the user experience (UX).

The new online presence was developed as a responsive site with Drupal as the Content Management System (CMS). In addition to covering navigation for essential property sales and leasing, careers, company information, and market insights - the new site was developed to act as an innovative community hub.

This hub was brought to life by an application-programming interface (API), which dynamically pulls in content from sources such as ‘Yelp’ to showcase information on restaurants, suburb profiles, community services, and more – an appealing service for people looking to invest or move into certain areas.

The Results

Since launching its new site, Di Jones has enjoyed a range of fantastic results in both customer attraction and industry recognition.

Site traffic has increased by 30%, user engagement has increased across all social media platforms, and visitors are staying on the site longer with a far lower bounce rate.

Awards and acknowledgements have been numerous. Di Jones took out the top award for Digital Marketing 2015 ahead of rivals Cunninghams, Morton and LJ Hooker at the Real Estate Institute NSW Awards for Excellence Gala Dinner. The business was actually nominated in five categories on the night!

Furthermore, the website has been nominated in both the CSS Design Awards and the AWWWARDS, two of the world’s top visited award destinations for innovative website design.
